All-New 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is Here
Bear, Middletown, and Newark are set for the latest 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 to hit the streets.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, a full-size pickup, is offered in eight trim levels: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. It is also available in several cab and bed configurations like a 2-door regular cab, 4-door double cab, and crew cab, which has four full-size doors. There are three bed sizes available: an 8-foot long bed, a 6.5-foot bed, as well as a 5-foot-8” bed.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers 89.1 cubic feet of hauling space, 44.5” of front legroom, 35.2” for rear passengers in the 4-door double cab, and 44.3” in the crew cab.
Multiple engine options exist with varying features for different trim levels. The Work Truck, Custom and Custom Trail Boss have a 4.3-liter V6 engine that produces 285hp and 305 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission and towing capacity is 7,900 pounds.
The fuel economy ratings are 16/21 mpg city/highway. The LT and RST trims have a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission that produces 310 hp and 348 lb-ft torque and has a towing capacity of 7,000 pounds. Fuel economy ratings are 20/23 mpg (city/highway) on 2-wheel-drive.
The LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country are equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission for dynamic fuel management (17/23 mpg) and a 6-speed automatic transmission for active fuel management (15/21 mpg).
The towing capacity here is 11,600 pounds, and a 10-speed automatic transmission option is also available (16/22 mpg). Other engine options include a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque as well as a 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 420 hp and 460 lb-ft (16/20 mpg), both offered on a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Thirteen thousand four hundred pounds is the towing capacity of the 6.2-liter V8 engine, while the 3.0-liter inline-6 turbocharged diesel engine can tow up to 9,400 pounds and has fuel economy ratings of 23/33 mpg in 2-wheel drive, and 23/29 mpg for 4-wheel drive.
It can seat six people and offers standard features like vinyl upholstery, 4-way manually adjustable front seats, USB port, Teen Driver system, a 7” touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, a 2-speaker stereo, rear-view camera, and Bluetooth. The Work Truck has 17” steel wheels, Custom has 20” alloy wheels, and the RST has 22” wheels.
Numerous safety features are also included, some of which are rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep, and lane change warning, HD surround vision, adaptive cruise control, and forward automatic braking.
